Questions about an Existing Reservation


Q.  I have not received my confirmation, what can I do?
A.  Once you click the "Confirm" button it should only take up to 1 minute to receive confirmation of your booking on screen. Do not click the confirm button more than once or you will be charged more than once. We also send you a confirmation e-mail with your booking details if you have given us a valid e-mail address. Please note that due to the nature of the internet and individual e-mail servers that sometimes confirmation e-mails will not be received.

Q.  How do I cancel a booking?
A.  If you wish to cancel your booking you must contact the hostel directly using the contact details on your booking confirmation, please remember to quote your booking reference in any correspondence with the hostel. In the event of a cancellation the booking fee and deposit are non-refundable. If you would like to make a booking please be sure to agree to the hostel's own cancellation policy for groups. Policies range from charging the first night's accommodation for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice to no refund on the total cost of accommodation. It is very important that you are aware of their policy.

Q.  How do I amend my reservation?
A.  You should contact the hostel directly to request an amendment to your reservation. Contact details are clearly noted on your confirmation e-mail, please quote your booking reference number in any correspondence with the hostel. Acceptance of any amendments is at the discretion of the hostel concerned. If an amendment of your reservation is not possible your deposit and booking fee are non-refundable.

Q.  What happens if I don't show up and I haven't contacted the hostel?
A.  In the event of a no show the hostel will charge your card in line with their own No show/cancellation policy and cancel any remaining nights booked. Please make sure that you are aware of their cancellation policy which is shown on your booking confirmation. The deposit and booking fee are non refundable.

Q.  I am not sure if my booking was processed, can you check for me?
A.  If you booked online at HostelGroupBookings.com your travel details will be stored online in the 'My Bookings' section. You can log-in using your customer reference from the booking and the email address you used to book.

Q.  What should I do once I see that my booking has been confirmed?
A.  Once your booking has been confirmed you are taken to a confirmation page which contains a link to your full booking details. Please click into view your full booking details from this page and make sure that you print your booking confirmation or take note of the booking reference number as the hostel will need this to check you in.
